In 2008 they developed the Kohan-Kerr Local infiltration analgesia (LIA) technique in order to dramatically improve the rate and quality of recovery from surgery & anesthesia.

Dr Kerr is a published author in the technique which is now widely adopted following a range of surgical procedures (orthopaedic, general, gynecological, and breast surgeries) for postoperative pain management.
